At the most recent MacWorld conference, HP announced two new series of HP LaserJet printers and multifunction printers (MFPs) that are designed specifically to help small to midsize businesses (SMBs) both create professional-grade color documents and increase productivity and efficiency by reducing the need to outsource marketing materials to an outside printer.

The HP LaserJet Pro 400 color printer series includes The HP LaserJet Pro 400 color M451 printer, which provides businesses of all sizes with professional grade speed and color, allowing businesses to quickly (black and color speeds of 21 pages per minute) create professional-quality marketing material in house.

Color Printer

The M451 also provides a productivity boost by seamlessly integrating with your current network, either through standard, built-in ethernet or wireless connectivity. The printer also allows for your users to print from anywhere using HP's ePrint technology.

(HP ePrint is a feature on some HP printers that allow users to print from tablets, smartphones, or any other internet connected device that can send an email. Each printer has a unique email address, and when a user wants to print a document remotely, doing so is as easy as emailing the document to your device's email address. The process also works for photos and any other material that can be emailed. This technology does not come standard on all HP printers or multifunction devices, please check specifications carefully.)

The HP LaserJet Pro 300/400 color MFP series includes two devices that feature 3.5-inch color touchscreen interfaces. The HP Pro 300 MFP M375 includes print, scan, copy and fax functionality, and, like the M451 printer mentioned above, it enables your business to produce high-quality color prints and marketing materials. The MFP M375 prints in both black and color at around 19 pages per minute.

The HP LaserJet Pro 400 MFP M475 is also a color multifunction that delivers the same multifunction capabilities as the M375, but with increased print speeds. It also includes standard duplexing and the ability to proactively manage office printing with HP Web Jetadmin.

Both the HP Pro 400 color M451 and the HP Pro 300/400 color MFP series are web-connected and support HP ePrint, HP Wireless Direct and Apple AirPrint, allowing your users to print anywhere their business might take them.

The HP Pro 300/400 color MFP series printers also include support for HP business apps, which enable you to access and print web content directly from the internet using the touchscreen display.

Both series of printers are due to debut in the United States on February 1, 2012.

Its 3.5-inch touch screen LCD display makes accessing the printer very easy. It also has wireless capabilities and you can print from a distance through Wi-Fi ready machines. However, it can only print as fast as the CM1312, and there are no memory card slots so there are limited storage device options.

For those who want a perfect machine for business purposes, I suggest investing on the CM3530fs. It's expensive, but that's the cost of doing business. But if what you're looking for is an excellent all-in-one color laser printer, I'd say that the CM1415 is perfect for you. It's cutting-edge in technology and very affordable. But if you ask me, I think you have the option of choosing which printer is right for you, as long as it's HP.
