Keep in mind that these printers can be a bit expensive: They must do the laser printing process four times internally for each of the three primary colors plus black. The consumables are also an expensive that you should plan for. You will need to replace four toner cartridges plus also buy larger and more expensive paper. Even with these costs, many businesses decides that wide format color laser printers are worth it for the great efficiency they can bring by allowing you to see the work product at the true size and in full brilliant color.
Keep in mind that they are not perfect for printing photos: they are better are illustrations and powerpoint slides. If you need to print a lot of large high quality photos, a large format ink jet printer may be a better choice. It will be a lot slower and louder, but the color tones in the photos will be a lot better. If you don't need to print photos, a color laser printer can be a great choice that is fast and quiet. No office that buys one ever wants to go back to a small black and white printer!
